Saudi Society of Rheumatology (SSR) is pleased to launch the Annals of Rheumatology and Autoimmunity (ARA). As we know, the scientific research and publication have been the foundation of today's knowledge.

ARA will be an open access, international peer-reviewed journal. It is owned by the SSR, which is a national professional society in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. SSR was established on May 2010; since then, a continuous effort was made to become the leading organization in rheumatology in the region.

ARA will be dedicated to improve the quality of healthcare by publishing the best quality science for rheumatology, autoimmunity, and related medical specialties.

ARA will be committed to be a dynamic, professional, and innovative organization, to promote research and evidence-based practice in rheumatology and autoimmunity so that a firm scientific knowledge base will develop, from which more effective practice may be evolved.

ARA will publish original research, clinical reports, educational information, opinion related to rheumatology, and autoimmunity. ARA welcomes submissions from national and international researchers and contributors.

Although ARA will be the official Journal of SSR, the Journal will show and maintain editorial independence from SSR. Its content will be selected by editorial board and does not necessarily reflect the beliefs and policies of SSR.

ARA will intend to serve medical and affiliated health personal from both clinical and/or basic science background who are involved in the field of rheumatology.

ARA will be published thrice a year.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who helped in starting this new Journal.
